Well remember the Alex guy from this thread? Well I showed him your advices and asked him to join as I thought you would like this guy's company, he said yes and joined up! Some background bio; He lived in US, near Philly(I can never memorize the name of the town; Numerous times I've tried, and failed) and is interested in the Civil War histories. Wouldn't say he's a Western history buff but he knows his Korean history well, I guess. And some Civil War stuff too. So, say hello to stonewalljackson y'all! Y'all may introduce yourselves here.

Welcome aboard!
I, myself, have many names. In these circles, the enduring one is Picard (Jean-Luc, Captain, USS Enterprise. Tea. Earl Grey. Hot). Currently, I'm paying homage with my profile to Yitzhak Rabin, a legendary leader of my native Israel. On that note, I'm an Israeli-American currently living in California.
I'd love to hear more about you, of course.

Hey there Victor Katz says you're interested in American Civil War, boy are you in for a treat soon! I intend to run a micro-RP that's based on a larger game that I haven't finalized yet. It's going to be a pilot-test. And hopefully it will reveal to me what I need to set up for the full scale RP. Quoting myself from another thread: "It's set in the American Civil War. The micro-RP will be revolving around the Western Theater only, not the entire country (read: Kentucky/Tennessee). Instead of starting at the opening of the war, this micro-RP begins after the battles of Fort Henry & Fort Donelson, about 8-9 months later after the beginning of the war."

Indeed indeed Tolbethessar here is a mega Civil War buff. He probably knows more Civil War than Abe Lincoln OOC but before the RP I'd really like a Civil War presentation or some short book recommendation... I know next to nothing on the Civil War unfortunatly... (I'm interested in WW2/CW/Napoleonic Wars but never dug the Civil War stuff yet) BTW stonewalljackson is a real busy fella, he only has 2 hours or something of free time... I don't know if he'll be able to join but I hope he will

I don't know if he'll be able to join but I hope he will That's only because I had been researching the ACW for about 2 years now (or almost 2 years anyhow). And a fairly high percentage of it was spend time with Wikipedia. I'm not writing a scholastic paper, because it's just for pure fun, so I don't have to avoid the wiki. I think about half of my research came from that. It was a decent starting point and as I stumbled across more of the finer details, I went out to other sources to satisfy my needs (especially the railroad-related articles which were woefully inadequate in telling me how many miles a railroad had to lay down rails from this city to that city).
