 WAKE UP, THE LOT OF YOU.Before Tolbethessar ’s untimely plague, him and I were discussing hosting a new game, to SHOCK some life back into the forum. Now; with his happy, albeit indefinite, return, I have the go ahead to propose a new game, which could comprise of any of the 3 scenarios I’ve conjured, or something else entirely. Of the three I have, A. The Balkan Wars, starting in 1910 and progressing season by season until the War begins*, at which point turns will progress month by month. Ottoman Empire is a must, as well as at least 2 Balkan players. Uncontrolled countries may be left to me, the GM, or to be split between the two players. External forces (Austria-Hungary, Russia) will be controlled by the GM, unless the Ottomans and Balkan Nations are filled. No research, just a slog. *The Balkan War has no set start date, and may begin whenever one or more nations declare it. B. A Limited WWI. This one, naturally being more player-intensive, focuses only on the primary powers of Germany and Austria-Hungary (The Ottomans, if player interest allows), against Britain, Russia and France. Beginning in 1904, the game will progress by a year until war is declared*, at which point the game transfers to season-based turns. Powers not immediately involved (with exception to Serbia**) will be GM controlled, unless the player interest allows for it. In the event they are GM controlled, all uninvolved countries will determine their interest in joining the war based on the CP’s and Entente’s actions, from a scale of 1 being No Interest, to 5 being Military Involvement. For example, of course, if Germany does not restrict it’s unrestricted submarine warfare, America will spread it’s wings and soar over German Trenches, dispersing freedom across the land. Technology may be researched. *WWI will have no set starting date. **The Serbian attempt on Franz Ferdinand will not occur if he does not go to Serbia. That being said, Serb Nationalism will still be very high. The Attempt is not a guarantee, thus it is possible the assassination on Ferdinand may fail altogether. C. South American Free-For-All. Simple as that. Essentially the ill-fated RP that took place on the forum-that-shall-not-be-named. Starting in 1836, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Peru are priority countries, with others being filled upon player interest. British, Dutch, and French Holdings will be GM-Controller, pending someone wants a colonial power adding a new chunk to it’s Empire. Turns progress by years. Research will be allowed. Leave your choice in the thread, and any feedback or questions you have on either of the three scenarios. |

Wasn't I like Honduras or something for the last one? I like teamed up with Mexico and then stabbed him in the back, so I could get a whole bunch of land. Fun times.

Yes, but the best part was when the Ottoman Empire magically sent 400,000 troops across 6,000 miles of ocean to attack me, Peru and Chile were somehow invading California, I was tearing through the USA with another magical 600,000-strong army, and the USA was busy destroying my army with their own magically-sized army at the same time that you backstabbed me. THOSE were the true fun times. |

THOSE were the true fun times. but the best part was when in the WW1 game (where you were Germany and I was the Ottoman Empire) I bought a crap ton of guns from you only to use them against you, took over all of your colonies while you just sat in Europe! Then, you came back with an extremely overpowered move trying to take back all of your colonies in one turn which failed horribly and the GM ruled against your move and you became a salty boi again. Also, the game you were talking about, I genuinely loved in that one how the OTTOMANS of all nations came from the other side of the world to invade South America! While Chile and Peru were like the mean kids who take your stuff from you and then refuse to give it back because apparently it's theirs now, and in that same game Transfermium was the CSA while I was the USA. I think I was fighting on four fronts single-handedly |
