Frustrated with the Middle East, particularly with getting a third power to work in the Gulf Triad, I've decided to try a variant in Italy, circa 1700. I had to split off Austria from the Habsburg Empire, and divide the Spanish territories in three, but I think this concept will work. The powers, as you can see, are: Austria (A) Venice (V) Savoy (S) Sardinia (D) Naples (N) Tuscany (T) the Ottoman Empire (O) My big concerns will be strengthening Venice and Austria, who will be engaged in two theaters (Hungary alongside the Sultan, and northern Italy), as well as buffing Tuscany appropriately for its Austria-esque position.

Well, with all the Wuhan Coronavirus shit going on in China, us Koreans are pretty afraid. My mate's father who is a doctor recently had a patient in his hospital(I'm pretty sure the hospital has 20+ doctors though). Constant shitty conspiracy theories are thriving more than ever.
Stay safe and stay healthy, and stay alive, y'all.
Regards from South Korea.

You Pakistanis were more exposed to MERS so that's fair, I guess The only thankful thing is that its lethality is around 4% IRRC. Ofc the crazy conspiracy theories suggests it's all Xi Jinping's lies but who cares about those idiots... Crazy situation, crazy people, I guess.

Read this whack theory about the coronavirus right now and it seems plausible what it says.
Then again the "theory" is basically coming from good ol' 4chan so there's only 10% reliability

BuzzFeed is the progressive segment of Twitter wearing a journalist costume. More like the Lib-left Well, that's a misleading term given the broadness of the American left, which both Marx and Hayek could find a kindred spirit in.

Ok you all remember I mentioned that I went to Tennessee and Europyrealm also went there? Well after the trip was over and we went back home (I actually took a mini-detour and made a stop at a local bookstore that's more of a huge warehouse) I ended up with a bundle of more books than when I started the trip, quite more books. I promised to talk about those books, and well I went ahead and took pictures with my cheap phone (forgive me for the crapastic quality of the photos, lol). This one should be somewhere at $50 or even higher, it's pretty huge and thick, about the same size as a textbook. I did skim through it and saw some interesting stuff in it, well worth the $6! It's actually originally written in Greek, but translated into English. Sounds interesting... This was a biographier who lived during those 14 emperors' reigns. It'll be interesting to read about Byzantine history from the perspective of a Byzantine. And good deal for $3 too! I never had heard of Michael Psellus, but I do recognize many of the names of the emperors and empresses in the book. And no... I'm not turning into Byzantion here lol. Byz byz ... Wait *cough* where was I? I picked up each of those book for $0.75 each in total of $1.50 for 2 books, why not? lol Seems a bit interesting, even if they're not completely useful or whatever, but I would like to be able to buy a house soon, real soon (read: Spring/Summer 2020). And now this... Been saving this for the last! I had been wanting this book, and it usually goes for $34-$45, roughly, but I got this at a steal of $6!!

That's only because I had been researching the ACW for about 2 years now (or almost 2 years anyhow). And a fairly high percentage of it was spend time with Wikipedia. I'm not writing a scholastic paper, because it's just for pure fun, so I don't have to avoid the wiki. I think about half of my research came from that. It was a decent starting point and as I stumbled across more of the finer details, I went out to other sources to satisfy my needs (especially the railroad-related articles which were woefully inadequate in telling me how many miles a railroad had to lay down rails from this city to that city). Moving this discussion to this thread since it's random Do you have any go-to books for ACW novices? BTW I have PK's Rise and Fall of the Great Nations(Korean version because academic books in English hurts my brain ) but the translation is pretty crappy. Is the English version too hard for a decent English speaker? (I figure you know my approximate level talking with me for two years or however long we've known) I'm inclined to read the English version when I get the time because the TL's so crappy on the Korean one, LOL. Revisiting this... I think I have found the book you have been asking for at last! The Atlas of The Civil WarBy James M. McPherson THIS TIME, buy the 영어 version! Not the 한국어 version! I've posted the pics of what the book looks like in general (in above post), and it doesn't feel like an academic book. More like... a well-balanced book that a newcomer could approach and peruse for himself, but not quite lacking in details. And it's fairly organized in chronological order (well, mainly geographically organized, but also chronological), so you can see the progress of the war through the years. And of course, theater-wide maps at the beginning (but with also little page #'s for individual battles! SUPERSCORE 초 고품질!). So I feel like it's a superb resource for anyone who wants to buy. Easily accessible and well organized. 5/5 Stars Also tagging Victor Katz's friend: stonewalljackson. *Yes I'm using Google Translate for the Korean babblings in this post. I lay the blame at their feet, not mine.
