It's interesting how the Confederation of the Rhine is now more Italy than Rhine, no? Exact same size as it had started with, but such a different geography.

That's true, and if we count how the Swiss-Germans are also germanic peoples like the Germans themselves, half of Switzerland would be kind of German too? My knowledge about Switzerland is very non-existent however
