Anyone here still play them?
I've been grinding through GoG:A Bitter Peace (A GoG mod, made by the guy that make the WW2 EW4 mod, that has you play as the enemies of the WW2+CCW campaigns of GoG/P, but with the enemy AI having 4 times your troops/econ and generals being way more affordable) recently.

There's a new game based on the Roman Era, go check out their FB.
Maybe they're copying Paradox Inc but maybe that'll be pretty good after a series of not-so-good games.

Maybe they're copying Paradox Inc but maybe that'll be pretty good after a series of not-so-good games. Eh, EW6 was fine, though it's basically like WC4 in that it was rehashing a previous game. As for me, I've basically started playing CN mods. Unsurprisingly, it turns out that there's more to Easytech mods than what Oscar the Grouch did back in the day, so I've been exploring some of the CN mods for the pre-WC3 games. As I've mentioned in the sub, EW3 Resurgence and both of 黑主宰's finished mods (TFB an ABP) are what I'm playing recently, though I might try out 黑主宰's last unfinished mod or one of the Cold War GoG mods. |

the GOG:P mod is pretty good, but it's all in Chinese so it's really hard to understand what's going on in all those levels, but it's a fun game in any case. |

The story is basically that the player is so good that the only way for the universe to achieve balance of the forces is to utterly destroy the player's faction of choice while he isn't looking. /s In all seriousness though, since you're playing as the AI controlled faction of the scenarios from vanilla GoG/P (scenarios from both are in the mod), i.e., Western Allies I is the reverse of Blitzkrieg with you as the Poles and the AI Germans having fifty more tanks and a dozen more generals, the story is the same as vanilla until the CCW, in which case Wikipedia can summarise how the "invasion of Taiwan" roughly went. |

I still play EW4 now and then. I have a Vanilla save I touch now and again, where I could get Lan and Victoria now if I ever find the motivation for a rushing conquest.
