Assuming that your parents aren't monitoring your activity on this forum, mind if you share some of those jokes? I'm curious There's one I remember from all those years ago. It plays on stereotypes, so tread with caution. Why do Polish dogs have square foreheads? Because they chase parked cars. And I'd be a little weirded out if my parents were watching me here. I'm not 7 anymore (though I've given my age as 5 on some sites). Ah funny joke. Although I definitely can see why a pair of good parents might get upset.

Guys, I just noticed something that had escaped my attention... Easytech Games thread should be in "Other Games", so I've moved it. The boards feels a bit more balanced now I think I'll post some other stuff myself about various games on my phone and/or laptop at some time soon.

Whoo-hoo I did it! We brought the cart from IKEA in a box then took it to our new apartment where I spent about an hour from start to finish in assembling the cart. It's an awesome feeling!

Whoo-hoo I did it! [Snipped the pic, sorry Deso] We brought the cart from IKEA in a box then took it to our new apartment where I spent about an hour from start to finish in assembling the cart. It's an awesome feeling! The well-priced apartment you were talking about to us? Looks like you finally made the decision to move in! Congratulations! Anyways i've also done DIY stuff like that, it was mostly electronics stuff (Never done wood) but I know the feeling. Well made man! What are you planning to put on the cart? EDIT: BTW I searched "IKEA DIY Cart" up in google and saw some marvelously painted versions! Perhaps you're planning to do the same?

Always feels great when you accomplish a task. Ikea furniture is special, because of just how incomprehensible those instructions are. You pour in your blood, sweat, and tears, but then you finish it and you feel like a real genius and manly man.

EDIT: BTW I searched "IKEA DIY Cart" up in google and saw some marvelously painted versions! Perhaps you're planning to do the same? Would have to sand every individual piece to remove the finish, and cover up the beautiful grain of the wood with something so artificial-looking in the final result. (I'm no da Vinci anyway, and the wife likes the look of the wood anyhow) Plus it's going to be used in the kitchen, right? Dust and food is going to end up touching the cart. Most paints are the possibly the worst things to receive such contact. It's going to end up grimy, dirty and gross if you don't do a poly finish (clear varnish) and it takes a ton of work to do a coat right or you'll wreck the look of the paint that you had worked on earlier (also, mess up the surfaces with the poly... it will only makes regular cleaning in the future on those surfaces impossible with grooves, bumps, and dips). So... worst idea ever if you're not doing it exactly right if you're planning on actually using it as a real cart, not just some artsy sculpture. Edit: To be honest, it's ok to blurt out an idea like that. Only real life experience with woodworking and commerical painting would've made it clear as to why it's not the beat idea (I've worked in construction before and painted many, many walls in houses). It's just something a guy wouldn't know until he experienced it for himself. Don't feel bad, please!

I'd call that a net positive, myself. I usually hire someone to do these things. If I tried to do any painting or woodwork, I'd end up with a purple-painted finger hacked off. Thankfully, the carpenter I found here in the states is pretty incredible.

Yup, Dr. Hendrei Gromsinger, a positive. Did you had much experience with power tools in other areas if not woodworking?

Figured I'd change my flair a little.
Since Peres was working in Israel's defense ministry during the mid-50s, it also works with the Vietnam theme, in that he'd realistically be observing the events - much as I'm observing the RP.

Random news, we upgraded our not-so-great bed to a much better one! We brought a nice simple bedframe from Amazon with an included canopy (for the intention of hanging up plants on the rails). Also while we were at it, brought a Casper mattress too. Eventually every shipment came to us at last (plus a bit of shopping for a new set of sheets and pillows at the local Target, heheh). I tried to snap a good pic of the bed + Kitty-kitty (stop moving around so much! Lol ). We finished the bed part last night, the remaining part is just put up the posts and the rails. A bit later today, my wife and I will go back to IKEA for a table plus two chairs and a daybed frame (basically it's a couch but can be used as a guest bed). Needless to say, she's totally psyched about the trip to the hugemous mecca of reasonably priced furniture. We've saved up some money for it and now we're ready.

Good luck with buying the rest of the stuff! Surely it's really comfortable, which is why the cat approves of it too!
