Have you ever thought about this, that millions of baby blankets being used by babies in America are actually being produced in Karachi, Pakistan since the 1950s? Chances are, you, American, reading this, were probably using one of these as well, back when you were a newborn! www.npr.org/2011/07/22/138575125/born-in-the-usa-this-blanket-might-look-familiarIt's funny how even in my house there's three of these lying around, but we use them as clothes to clean our furniture, and one is used by my dad to dust off the car every day! While the blankets were once made in the U.S., production moved overseas, and today they're made in Karachi, Pakistan.But hey, still... that's INTERESTING!  I wonder if they changed the production location in the 80's... If so, I must have been swaddled in a Pakistani blanket, then. |
