Turn 32 as Russia, 1806. Followed Dr. Hendrei Gromsinger's guide. You think I could get Sophia/Fatimah/Maria? Doubt I could get it in 46 turns(Picard's record) but maybe I could get it in 50s? 60s is still sometimes adequate for Sophia. Keep pushing. That guide is proving to be more work than I'd thought. I'll do it eventually, I swear. For now, Discord is probably ideal for nagging me.

Hopefully I'll get the pleasure of getting the Fort-smashing Russian using a Russian Conquest. (Hopefully it'll help me get thru Austerlitz on both nations)

I know I'm on here sporadically as it were, but I'll be much more sporadic soon, as I'll be abroad!

Hey all, do you recall that I had moved into a new apartment that was pretty swell and all that? Well *cough cough* THERE WAS AN "UN-TWIST"To be fair... I was completely surprised that the ONE particular thing that went wrong in the apartment was the windows out of all of possible things! What was wrong with the windows, you ask? Leaks? Cracks? Breaking? No, it simply was installed as a non-opening window! Okay, this is kinda a problem... It's definitely a fire hazard and illegal. My wife and I had contacted the landlord. They naturally put up a considerable resistance against our simple request to rectify it. Claiming that it passed the fire marshal's inspection, so we asked them for a copy of the report or at least the name and phone number for the fire marshal (who was obviously too incompetent, lazy, or fat - or likely all of the above). We called like 5 or 6 different departments of the city government until we had found a direct answer to whether if this was even legal. Every habitable area must have at least 1 door and 1 window, and for the window to actually count as one it had to be at least 20x25 inches and openable. So nope, illegal. To make things worse, we were finally given the contact info for the correct fire marshal. They had conducted an inspection last year November which the apartment building had failed to pass (so the landlord was actually lying to us outright, and we could actually submit that to a court of law in concrete evidence, lol). Anyhoooo.... it's going to be pretty ugly for a while.

Who knew something as less important as windows would be that big of a mess!

Who knew something as less important as windows would be that big of a mess! Well yeah but in America here, this sort of poor compliance with the regulations is seriously frowned upon. Besides I don't understand it. If ANYTHING happens, the landlord definitely would be held liable for loss of life in that fire, etc... all because it wasn't safe. But honestly... I don't want the millions from a lawsuit. I would rather to keep my wife and myself alive, well, and unharmed. Being rich isn't worth dying.

Oh one more annoyingly life-distrupting thing that just happened...
On June 1st, my wife's company suddenly changed almost everything related to hours worked, schedule arrangements, vacation time, etc...
This is particularly important because the WHOLE reason behind the idea of us settling down in an apartment in that particular city (Toledo) was all just for the job my wife works and gets paid well for it.
Feels a bit overwhelmed because everything is in such an unstable fluctuation except for my wife's employment which had been a sweet anchor holding things in place. Now we might or might not have a stable income and we might or might not have a place to stay.
I'm currently looking at the jobs in Columbus (2.5 hours southeast of Toledo). It's a much larger city and I have my family and friends over there anyway, and we might as well forget about the stupid Toledo and that job if it isn't that reliable any more.

I'm quickly realizing why people don't like FedEx. It's been 4 days since the book I ordered arrived at the FedEx location it's at now, and it's twice been "on the truck for delivery," but I have yet to see it. I get that it's 60 miles from me, but come on. Surely a shipping company this big can do better? (Maybe not, given what I've read about them online)

It sucks to be on the short end of the stick on those times when FedEx DO fail spectacularly wrong though. Check with the website or the local center and maybe they can be helpful (not always tho).

Good to see you being active again, Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb. Okay, I'm just wondering if everybody who has been online lately but not actively participating in a RP atm... (will tag the names) DO you guys want to join the Indochina RP as secondary players or preferably something else different (can be like a Dippy game, Alt-Hist, or honestly a 3rd option being whatever different format you wish to participate in) Tagging Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb, Dr. Hendrei Gromsinger, Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, Christ Pantocrator, Transfermium, EuropyrealmIf you do want a different game, you guys could always run it at the same time during the Indochina RP btw. This forum is for having fun doing games and RPs, after all.
